About This Role

This is a full-time temporary position for 13 months, with a contracted period from January 2025 to February 2026.

You will be required to work 76 hours per fortnight, including occasional weekend or public holiday shifts.

Job Description

As an Interior Design Co-worker, your primary responsibilities will include:

- Utilizing your passion for home furnishing to contribute to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.

- Communicating and implementing your home furnishing knowledge to create and inspire home furnishing solutions for customers.

- Stimulating and increasing the interest in home furnishing through constantly showing new and inspiring solutions that motivate people to visit the IKEA store frequently.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

- A true passion for home furnishing and people's lives at home with a strong ability to inspire and transform living spaces.

- An understanding of how to handle tasks with a practical, hands-on mindset often utilising tools like ladders and power tools.

- Strong communication skills, capable of guiding peers and influencing stakeholders to achieve design goals.

- Experience with programs such as Revit, SketchUp and Adobe CC Suite is preferred. Having an Interior Design/Architecture qualification, or previous experience in home furnishing retail is essential.

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum.
