About the Role: As a Cook at Arcare Aged Care, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by providing delicious and nutritious meals.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare meals according to the menus designed by the Head Chef, ensuring they are nutritious, appealing, and meet the specific dietary needs of individual residents.
- Accommodate special dietary requirements, such as texture-modified diets, to cater to the unique health conditions and preferences of our residents.
- Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards to prevent foodborne illnesses and maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Monitor the quality of ingredients and finished dishes, ensuring they meet high standards in taste, appearance, and portion sizes.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
Skills and Experience:
- Certificate III or IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery).
- Adaptable, passionate, and willingness to learn.
- Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
- Friendly and effective communication abilities.
