Carpentry Expert

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for installing sheet flooring, erecting lightweight steel wall frames and roof trusses, installing windows and doors, and constructing eaves.

You will work closely with the project manager to ensure all necessary materials are on site on time and that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install sheet metal roof cladding to ensure a watertight seal and prevent leaks
  • Set out buildings on site, taking into account measurements and calculations to ensure accuracy
  • Set up building levels as per datum and drawings provided to ensure precise construction
  • Ensure all necessary materials to complete the project are on site on time to avoid delays
  • Install exterior wall claddings to provide a weather-tight seal and enhance appearance
  • Install linings, panelling, and mouldings to create a high-quality finish
  • Fitting manholes, special door furniture, extra specific flashings etc. to meet exacting standards
  • Undertake reworks and refurbish builds as required to rectify any defects or issues
  • Install transit walls as and when required to facilitate efficient workflow
  • Undertake maintenance and repair work as required to extend the lifespan of our assets
  • Modify furniture products to suit specific requirements while maintaining quality and functionality
  • Close out punch list items prior to and after client inspections to ensure satisfaction and loyalty
  • Erect scaffolding around buildings when required for safe access and effective construction
  • Build stairs, ramps, and other items as required to meet specific needs
  • Provide assistance to trade workers and labourers to perform their duties effectively
  • Perform any other carpentry duties as required to support the team's workload
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in carpentry, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality results
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, with attention to detail and precision
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
  • Physical stamina to perform manual tasks, with the ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed
