Career Opportunity at a Leading Healthcare Facility

Ventia is hiring a skilled Carpenter to join our team at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (TQEH) in Woodville South, SA. This full-time role involves reactive repairs, preventative maintenance, and minor modifications across hospital facilities to ensure safe and functional environments for staff and patients.

This is a permanent on-site position working Monday to Friday.

About the Role
  • Perform carpentry and trade-related tasks within specified timeframes and quality standards based on drawings, templates, and instructions.
  • Diagnose faults and perform repairs, maintenance, and minor modifications in line with safety and compliance requirements.
  • Operate tools, machinery, and equipment safely, and assist with non-mechanical maintenance and construction activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including photographic documentation uploaded to company systems.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and the service delivery team to support smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out carpentry tasks within specified timeframes and quality standards.
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and minor modifications as required.
  • Operate tools, machinery, and equipment safely.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Trade qualification in Carpentry (Certificate III or equivalent).
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Current White Card (or willingness to obtain).
  • Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Demonstrated experience in carpentry maintenance and new works, ideally in a hospital or healthcare setting.
