About the Role:

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Administrator to join our team at Consunet. As a Network Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, integrating, testing, and maintaining high-availability networks of primarily Linux-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement high-availability networks of Linux-based systems.
  • Configure and manage Linux environments, including day-to-day configuration, management, and operation.
  • Collaborate with in-house and client stakeholders to maintain high system availability and deliver robust long-term solutions.
  • Provide day-to-day systems support and administration to stakeholders.
  • Analyze and report risks as they are identified.
  • Assist with the development and improvement of policies, procedures, and documentation for delivery, support, and monitoring of DevOps / DevSecOps and ICT environments.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Linux system administration.
  • Experience with network topologies, including VMWare (e.g. vCenter, NSX, vRealize) and Kubernetes Networking.
  • Experience with management for networking products (e.g. Fortinet / Juniper).
  • Understanding of Virtual Network Infrastructure (Firewalls, Load Balancers, Gateways), and security products.
  • Excellent communication skills, including fluency in both oral and written communication.
  • Ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in managing small project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Linux Management (RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Satellite, and Foreman).
  • Experience with VMware TKG, Rancher, Ubuntu, Dell OS10, Kubernetes CNI, Istio.
  • Knowledge of DevOps / DevSecOps principles and practices.
  • Operating system and application patch management.
  • Cybersecurity toolsets (detect, record, monitor, analyze).
  • Strong understanding of the current security landscape and threats.
  • Advanced Diploma and/or Bachelor Degree in System Administration, ICT, or Computer Science.
  • Current active Defence Clearance is highly desirable.
