About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Assistant Coordinator at YMCA Kurwongbah Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service. As an Assistant Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the service and contributing to the delivery of high-quality programs for children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Service Coordinator with the development and implementation of programs and activities for children;
  • Support the management of a team of Educators, including providing guidance and feedback to ensure high-quality care and education;
  • Contribute to the maintenance of accurate records and reports, including attendance, incident reports, and program evaluations;
  • Collaborate with families and the school community to ensure a smooth and effective transition for children;
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures;
  • Undertake administrative tasks, including data entry and communication with families and staff;
  • Support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Childcare or Teaching (Minimum of Diploma in Children Services);
  • Experience in assisting with programming and a passion for providing quality childcare;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and staff;
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports, and to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • First Aid and CPR certification, and a Positive Notice Blue Card;
  • Strong knowledge of National Quality Framework (NQF) and ability to apply this in practice.
