At DSI Underground, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at our Narangba site. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of all workshop and maintenance activities to meet cost, reliability, availability, and safety targets.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, with experience in coordinating and managing teams to achieve production goals. You will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained, and that spare parts are available to support plant reliability and cost objectives.

As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will also be responsible for proposing, planning, and coordinating equipment and machinery improvements, as well as coordinating and completing preventative maintenance activities. You will work closely with the Site Operations Manager to ensure that all maintenance activities are aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with excellent communication and leadership skills. If you have a strong background in maintenance and repair, and are looking for a challenging and rewarding role, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all workshop and maintenance activities
  • Ensure toolage and operational equipment is available to meet production requirements
  • Manage the availability of spare parts to support plant reliability and cost objectives
  • Propose, plan, and coordinate equipment and machinery improvements
  • Coordinate and complete preventative maintenance activities
  • Manage equipment breakdown repairs to minimize downtime
  • Provide monthly reports to Site Operations Manager detailing maintenance activities, achievements, and KPIs
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to trades team to support a proactive culture
  • Ensure that maintenance personnel are working in compliance with workplace safety and environmental requirements

Requirements:

  • Relevant trade or manufacturing qualifications
  • Strong Fault-Finding acumen and experience
  • High computer literacy (Outlook, Excel, Navision, Word, Inventor)
  • Leadership experience: Ability to engage, support, motivate, consult & direct
  • Strong communication skills: Clear oral and written communicator
  • Organisation skills: Able to organise and plan own and other's activities
  • A Cert IV in frontline management or an engineering background would be highly desirable
