Join our dynamic blasting team and take on a challenging role with endless opportunities for growth. As a key member of the blast crew, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently executing blast patterns, ensuring daily loading and blasting objectives are met.The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in a similar role or as a bench hand equivalent, along with a valid Standard 11 qualification and QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card. A background in an open-cut mining environment is also highly desirable.   • Execute blast patterns in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ensure daily loading and blasting objectives are met
  • Dipping, priming, loading, stemming, and tie-in of blast patterns
  • Operate ancillary equipment such as stemming loaders
Requirements:
  • Previous Blast Crew or Bench Hand equivalent experience
  • Standard 11 qualification
  • QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card
  • Background in an open-cut mining environment
  • RIIBLA201E – Support Shotfiring Operations (desirable)
  • A can-do attitude and excellent communication skills
