About the Positions

Due to continuous growth and internal progression, we are actively seeking a multi-skilledShotfirers to join our teams at the Gregory or Jellinbah mine sites 

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will join our established team and act as a senior member, working a 7/7 day shift only(12hr) roster.

Core accountabilities include:

  • Safe and efficient surface shotfiring operations
  • Safe and efficient operation of our Mobile Processing Units (MPUs) - training provided
  • Carry out pre-starts
  • Regularly carry out workplace Take 5's
  • Attend toolbox discussions
  • Contribute to a respectful and inclusive work environment

About you

  • Experience in shotfiring operations in an open cut environment essential
  • Experience in operating MPU's in an open cut environment (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience working in the drill & blast industry
  • Experience using both Non-Electric and Electronic Blasting Systems (desirable)
  • Unwavering commitment to safety and efficiency
  • Ability to work well within a team and unsupervised
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

What you need

  • Current HR licence highly desired - open manual's licence essential
  • QLD Shotfirer's ticket highly desired
  • QLD Security Clearance for handling explosives
  • Current QLD Coal Board Medical (or willing to obtain)
  • Standard 11 (or willing to obtain)
  • National Police Clearance (Less than 3 months old or willing to obtain)
  • Relevant RII competencies (RIIBLA201A & RIIBLA203A) highly regarded
  • Trainer and assessor qualifications highly advantageous
