Student Advocate Position

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting international students at our Sydney campus. The ideal individual will possess exceptional customer service skills, be highly organized and have excellent technical abilities (database management, Microsoft 365 proficiency, PRISMS system navigation). They will also have a genuine passion for education and be sensitive to the cultural and language nuances facing overseas students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support on-campus student needs by advising on aspects such as cultural acclimatization and general academic issues
  • Assist with student accommodation requests (i.e. Homestay and student residence)
  • Provide special care for under-age students with regular check-ins
  • Preliminary preparations for new student intake (ELICOS & VET)
  • Facilitate academic and financial intervention and problem-solving as needed
  • Support agents by responding to phone calls, providing information about current student status and course details
  • Act as a point of contact for walk-in students, conduct school tours and ensure successful conversion rates
  • Facilitate student extensions
  • Issue Letter of Acceptance and COEs while utilizing the school's database system efficiently
Requirements:
  • Experience working in an international college and/or school environment
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service delivery
  • Outstanding organizational capabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in database management, Microsoft 365, and PRISMS systems
  • A genuine passion for education and cultural sensitivity towards international students
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory
  • Japanese fluency is required for this position
Work Schedule:

Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with working hours between 8am to 8pm

This role is based at the Sydney campus and does not offer remote work options
