Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Findmea, a leading local government agency with a national reach. As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing procurement services to both internal and external clients, ensuring the effective and efficient operation of procurement processes within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake procurement, contracting, and supply chain activities to meet the organization's needs.
  • Provide accurate procurement advice and services to internal and external stakeholders, including procurement information, guidance, and support through verbal and written communication channels.
  • Gather and analyze market data and trends, perform demand analysis, identify risk, and contribute ideas towards developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate with suppliers and clients on work and performance, ensuring compliance with legislative and ethical requirements.
  • Assist in the development of procurement training to stakeholders to ensure the effective and efficient operation of procurement processes.
  • Provide advice on goods and/or services and their acquisition to ensure compliance with legislative and ethical requirements.
  • Maintain inventory at optimal levels to best balance the competing needs of the organization.
  • Undertake projects and other development initiatives as identified from time-to-time.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in procurement or purchasing.
  • Sound knowledge of using purchasing software and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to meet department objectives.
