
Haematology Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Haematology specialist to deliver quality patient care at our world-class health service.
About the Position- This role reports directly to the Clinical Director, Haematology.
- This position fulfils key accountabilities and responsibilities in accordance with our purpose and objectives.
Clinical Skills and Qualifications
- Provision of high-quality services to patients in accordance with established standards of practice.
- Delivery of comprehensive patient care consistent with clinical service capability framework.
- Specific duties may involve ward rounds, outpatient services (including Telehealth and outreach services), multidisciplinary team meetings, and collaboration with other medical teams or professional streams.
- Enable efficient clinical pathways and early discharge procedures.
- Document relevant clinical information clearly, concisely, accurately, and appropriately.
- Ensure effective handover of patients as needed.
- Role model desired behaviour promoting a positive attitude, enthusiasm, respect, and support for colleagues, effective communication, and ethical decision making.
- Liaise and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members ensuring effective team functioning, positive patient outcomes, and achievement of departmental objectives.
Quality Assurance and Governance Activities
- Maintain adherence to established clinical service standards, guidelines, procedures, and policies.
- Develop and implement continuous quality improvement strategies to achieve quality and safety outcomes in patient care at all levels of practice.
- Active participation in hospital's Integrated Risk Management and Safety Program, including incident monitoring and root cause analysis where necessary.
- Lead staff by fostering and committing to patient safety and quality delivery through maintaining, evaluating, and improving safety practices.
