Job Description

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced built environment professional to lead the identification and selection of sites for new schools, as well as plan for the expansion of existing ones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse range of projects, including the procurement and management of consultants.
  • Effectively liaise and communicate with stakeholders across the Education Directorate and the broader ACT government.
  • Ensure strategic planning and detailed site planning meets the Directorate's requirements for well-located and timely provision of school infrastructure.
  • Bring strategic planning skills and experience to help solve complex challenges, such as repositioning school sites and their facilities over the long term.

Requirements:

  • Experience in urban planning and land development within Australia is essential, and/or relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, urban planning, architecture, or any allied built environment field are essential.
