The Australian Submarine Agency is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Assistant Director Capability Investment Planning and Cost Integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team that facilitates capability planning and program-level cost analysis for the NPS Program.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program planning and cost integration, with the ability to exercise sound decision making and judgement to provide expert advice on capability investment analysis of the NPS program. They will also be able to organise and manage work against deadlines and proactively engage with stakeholders to ensure best practice in investment analysis and advice.

The role will involve leading a team of analysts and ensuring that the Program is integrated with Defence capability investment mechanisms. The successful candidate will be accountable under broad direction to perform and manage complex written and analytical work.

About the Role

The Assistant Director Capability Investment Planning and Cost Integration will play a critical role in the delivery of the AUKUS Nuclear Powered Submarine (NPS) Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the program planning and cost integration function, ensuring that the Program is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of analysts responsible for capability planning and program-level cost analysis
  • Provide expert advice on capability investment analysis of the NPS program
  • Ensure that the Program is integrated with Defence capability investment mechanisms
  • Organise and manage work against deadlines
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to ensure best practice in investment analysis and advice

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a strong background in program planning and cost integration, with the ability to exercise sound decision making and judgement to provide expert advice on capability investment analysis of the NPS program.
