About the Role

The People and Culture Division is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational implementation of human resource strategies relating to a diverse range of human resource and industrial relations functions across Canberra Health Services.

Working closely with other Canberra Health Services Divisions, the People and Culture portfolio delivers strategically aligned workforce solutions in areas including change management, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, industrial and employee relations, pay and benefits, rewards and talent acquisition.

The Division also plans, designs, communicates and monitors Operational and Strategic initiatives with a focus on workforce data to support strategic decision-making to enable Canberra Health Services to deliver on its strategic agenda.

The Director Workforce Planning is accountable for workforce forecasting and planning for assigned areas to respond to strategic priorities and to inform system-wide actions to meet future workforce outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement workforce planning strategies to meet business needs
  • Provide expert advice on workforce planning and development
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address workforce gaps
  • Develop and maintain workforce data and analytics to inform strategic decision-making
  • Lead and manage a team of workforce planning professionals

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in workforce planning and development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Highly developed business acumen and strategic thinking
