Outdoor Labour Positions Available

The Wagga Wagga City Council invites applications from dedicated candidates with prior labouring experience to contribute to various council projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy a variety of tasks.
These roles are casual and will be filled as needed. Applications will be kept on file to address future vacancies within our casual workforce.
- Competitive pay rate of $34.82 gross per hour (including casual loading) plus superannuation.
Key Responsibilities:
- General labouring tasks;
- Fencing and litter management;
- Concrete work and paving;
- Traffic and pedestrian control;
- Operating and maintaining tools and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Previous experience in a labouring role.
- A valid Class C Driver's Licence (minimum).
- A General Construction Induction Training Card (White).
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong motivation and a commitment to community service.
- Adherence to workplace health and safety standards.
In compliance with Work Health and Safety regulations, candidates must be vaccinated and provide proof of immunizations for Hepatitis A (Parks and Gardens) and Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Tetanus (Gregadoo Waste Management Centre). Evidence of Q-Fever vaccination is also required for specific council areas.
