About the Role

Cuscal Limited is seeking a highly skilled Domain Engineering Manager to join our Enterprise Technology Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of DevOps maturity, maintaining high standards, and driving best practices and development principles to achieve successful outcomes.

The Domain Engineering Manager will collaborate with other Practice Leaders within Cuscal to ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives. With an accountability to Engineering excellence, the Domain Engineering Manager will be expected to lean into solution designs by partnering with the Solution Architects to ensure patterns and reference architectures are defined, adhered to and maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technology Strategy and Adoption: Partner on defining and executing technology strategies across the Domain as well as Enterprise Technology Service Practice strategies and pattern uplift.
  • Investigation and Adoption of New Technologies: Responsible for investigating and adopting new technologies and tools that can improve processes, boost productivity, and reduce costs.
  • Toolkit Management: Ensure that the most appropriate toolkits are readily available to facilitate efficient delivery and operational support.
  • Culture of Innovation and Agility: Encourage a culture of innovation and agility, provide clear processes and tool access for engineers to support the rapid prototyping of product ideas and features.
  • System Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and generate reports on the health, capacity, and performance of systems, leveraging metrics and other indicators to detect potential issues or areas that require improvement.
  • Lifecycle Management: Ensure that engineers follow the lifecycle management strategies established by architects, the practices and principles for the build and delivery of software to agreed engineering principles and that they are appropriately maintained, managed, and regularly reviewed throughout the entire lifecycle.
