The Role

As a key member of our Sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and promoting our products and services. The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of Sales Account Managers, focusing on building and developing a strong customer base to drive sales growth for our Sydney branch.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in New South Wales, leveraging our product offerings to meet customer needs.
  • Maximize existing accounts and business to achieve profitable sales growth and key performance indicators (KPIs) in New South Wales.
  • Drive and ensure revenue growth nationally to meet and/or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets, aligning with our company's strategic objectives.
  • Track sales-qualified leads, accurately forecast territory performance, and capture market intelligence using our CRM system.
  • Develop state sales strategies to achieve sales growth across our company's products and services, staying up-to-date with market trends and customer needs.
  • Seek, qualify, and convert prospects in accordance with sales goals and targets, utilizing effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Assist, coach, and mentor the sales team, providing guidance and direction on products, prices, availability, customer queries, and growth opportunities.
  • Review and analyze weekly and monthly reports (call cycles heat maps, sales/gross profit margin data, and account profitability), identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Prepare monthly management reports and sales proposals, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Successfully prepare, execute, and integrate new accounts, ensuring seamless onboarding and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage an account base, whether it be new business or existing key accounts, maintaining strong relationships and driving long-term growth.
  • Ensure compliance standards for your sales team around the team KPIs, upholding our company's values and policies.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven sales management experience with at least 3-5 years in a business-to-business (B2B) environment, preferably within the foodservice industry.
  • Successful experience in leading a team and having strong territory management skills, with a structured approach to developing a customer base and progressing a sales process.
  • Proven and demonstrable state-level sales growth achievements, with a track record of driving revenue growth and expanding customer bases.
  • Demonstrated experience in tender preparation and execution, with a strong understanding of the sales process and customer needs.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing high-performance sales teams, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with key department heads and customers, building strong relationships and driving business growth.
  • Display persuasive and strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and negotiate with customers and stakeholders.
  • High-level competency in Microsoft and CRM systems, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Competent in building trust and customer loyalty, prioritization, and follow-up, with a customer-centric approach to sales and business development.
  • Adaptability to market demands, with a flexible and proactive approach to sales and business growth.
