Procurement Specialist Opportunity

 

  • The Procurement Specialist will oversee end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring compliance with defence and international trade regulations.
  • They will be responsible for coordinating and executing Foreign Military Sales (FMS) transactions, adhering to relevant standards and guidelines.
  • A key aspect of this role is developing and maintaining relationships with domestic and international suppliers, guaranteeing reliable supply chains.
  • Effective negotiation and contract management skills are essential in securing optimal terms and conditions.
  • The Procurement Specialist will also be tasked with monitoring and reporting on procurement activities, budgets, and supplier performance.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams is necessary to forecast procurement needs and develop strategic sourcing plans.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement, preferably within the defence sector.
  • Proven expertise in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) processes and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of defence procurement frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
