Construction Management Opportunity in Australia

The company operates nationwide with branches strategically located to provide top-notch service to its trade clients. Despite being a large business, they maintain a small-business feel, emphasizing teamwork, social events, and career advancement. The ideal candidate will be someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and is eager to take on a hands-on role in managing a team of three.
This is an exciting opportunity suitable for professionals looking to transition from roles such as Retail Manager, Customer Service Manager into a branch-based position within the construction supplies sector. While having a background in construction products would be beneficial, it is not essential.

This role requires someone who is willing to get involved at all levels of operations. As a hands-on Team Leader, you will:
- Engage directly with customers – answer calls, emails, and provide in-person assistance behind the counter.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including stock management, staff training, and ensuring timely customer deliveries.
- Collaborate closely with internal sales reps, technical staff, and all-rounders.
- Work closely with Area Managers to uphold branch efficiency and customer service standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing peak traffic periods between 6:30 AM and 9:00 AM when tradespeople visit the branch.
- Operating within standard working hours of 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
- Possessing strong customer service skills, preferably with a background in customer-facing roles.
- Being a team player with the ability to train and manage people effectively.
- Demonstrating high-level organizational skills.
- Having an understanding of stock and delivery processes.
- Being able to connect with trade customers and efficiently delegate tasks to meet workflow demands.
