Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a leading cloud provider, offering virtualized IT infrastructure to customers worldwide. We are seeking a Data Centre Security Manager to oversee the security of our private cloud infrastructure in Australia.
This role requires experience in managing security for large critical installations, ideally data centres or sensitive facilities. The successful candidate will set strategy, manage budgets, lead projects, and drive improvements in our security practices and operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing comprehensive security guidance on personnel, physical, operational, technical, industrial, counterintelligence, and media management.
- Creating, implementing, and managing security requirements at a large, government-accredited, multi-facility site.
- Drafting and reviewing security documentation, including transportation plans, procedures, and CONOPs.
- Identifying program and physical security requirements, problems, and solutions to sustain and enhance security.
- Performing and/or supporting the operations and maintenance of security hardware and systems.
- Developing and strengthening relationships with internal and external partners to heighten security awareness and engagement.
- Providing oversight of onsite security forces to run daily security operations.
- Managing the classified material program to ensure procedures are developed and operated in accordance with internal and customer security policies and practices.
- Assisting management with financial analysis and contributing to financial decisions for security requirements.
Requirements
- Expertise in physical security systems, including facility security installations, surveillance systems, and electronic access control systems.
- Demonstrated track record of growth and increasing responsibility, requiring maturity, judgment, negotiation, analytics, and influence skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively employ a third-party security force in a dynamic operating environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven ability to influence business partners and supporting teams.
- Ability to manage 24x7 security operations, including short-notice response to emerging operational issues.
- Ability to credibly coordinate between technical teams and business stakeholders.
Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance is required.
