Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated mentor to join our team working in collaborative environments and driving the success of programs for school students and learner drivers.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of community needs and be able to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, maintaining respectful and trust-based relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate workshops for school students and learner drivers
  • Deliver Bro Speak sessions to Aboriginal students in partner schools
  • Consult on the needs of Aboriginal youth, barriers to accessing support and issues negatively impacting on school attendance, retention and employment
  • Incorporate local Aboriginal knowledge, protocols and practices in activities
  • Identify and promote employment opportunities
  • Assist participants with training and employment activities that align with their Career Plan
  • Support the practical elements of pre-employment activities including digital literacy, job applications, mock interviews, job search seminars etc

Requirements:

Must be able to pass Police Check and Working with Children check, have a full driver's licence and vehicle
