Support Mentor Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Support Mentor to empower local communities for sustainable growth and positive social impact.

This role involves facilitating workshops for school students and learner drivers, requiring a deep understanding of the community's needs and effective stakeholder engagement.

  • Deliver sessions to Aboriginal students in partner schools, fostering respectful relationships and identifying barriers to accessing support.
  • Maintain strong connections with community members, incorporating local knowledge, protocols, and practices into activities.
  • Identify and promote employment opportunities, supporting participants in achieving their career goals.
  • Assist individuals with training and employment activities that align with their Career Plan, ensuring seamless progress towards their objectives.
  • Enhance digital literacy, job application skills, and mock interview preparation, helping participants secure employment opportunities.
  • Respectfully assist individuals to overcome barriers to full participation, providing tailored support for personal and professional growth.
  • Help participants take learner's tests and other activities associated with gaining a driver's licence, promoting independence and mobility.
Required Skills and Qualifications

A must-have for this role is the ability to pass Police Check and Working with Children check, possess a full driver's licence, and have access to a vehicle.
