About this RoleThis role plays a crucial part in driving the success of our programs. As a mentor, you will facilitate workshops for school students and learner drivers, empowering them to achieve their goals.
Your responsibilities include developing a deep understanding of community needs and effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders. This requires a strong ability to build trust-based relationships and incorporate local knowledge, protocols, and practices into your work.
- Deliver tailored sessions to Aboriginal students in partner schools.
- Maintain respectful relationships with community members and identify barriers to accessing support.
- Incorporate local knowledge and protocols in activities.
- Identify and promote employment opportunities.
- Assist participants with training and employment activities that align with their career plans.
- Support practical elements of pre-employment activities, including digital literacy and job applications.
- Facilitate solutions to barriers to full participation for individuals.
- Assist participants in obtaining driver's licenses.
To be successful in this role, you must possess a full driver's license and be able to pass a police check and working with children check.
