We offer an hourly rate based on industry-related experience and qualifications, ranging from $33.01/hr at Level 1.1 for those entering the industry.

Job Description:

As a Direct Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal care, medication administration, and mobility support. You will also provide transportation and engage clients in social and recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support with personal care tasks such as showering, toileting, and dressing
  • Assisting with medication administration and recording
  • Transferring clients using hoists and slide sheets, and providing general mobility assistance
  • Performing domestic duties, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Transporting clients to and from the Day Centre
  • Engaging clients in community activities, attending doctors' appointments, and supporting with grocery shopping or other social activities

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Blue Card (Working with Children Card)
  • An NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities, formerly a Yellow Card)
  • A valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • A Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Commitment to infection prevention and control measures, including the use of PPE as directed
  • An iPhone with an iOS 13.0 or up operating system, or Android 5.0 or up operating system
