We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Support Children's Educator to join our team at Centacare Brisbane.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, assisting in the delivery of high-quality educational programs for children. As a Support Children's Educator, you will play a key role in supporting the Coordinator in the day-to-day operations of the service, including program planning, staff rostering, and administration tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of educational programs that promote children's learning and well-being.
  • Support the coordination of staff rosters and supervision to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for children.
  • Contribute to the administration and financial management tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a high-quality, inclusive, and educational program for children.
  • Provide a safe, secure, welcoming, and nurturing environment for children, promoting their social, emotional, and physical development.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Children Services or equivalent qualification as per ACECQA guidelines.
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), First Aid, CPR, Asthma/Anaphylaxis certification.
  • Ability to consent to be the Responsible Person on site in the absence of the Coordinator.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place framework, and National Law/Regulations.
  • Experience in the education and care of children, with a focus on providing high-quality services.
  • Effective computer skills, including experience with childcare management software (Xplor preferred).
  • Excellent workplace communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
