Laboratory Specialist

This is a Medical Laboratory Technician role involving laboratory investigations, preparation of materials, and equipment maintenance.
The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Laboratory Technology or equivalent qualification with experience in delivering pathology services.
About the Role- Perform a range of laboratory investigations and tests applying established methods and procedures as directed.
- Undertake other laboratory duties including preparation of materials and the maintenance of equipment according to established laboratory processes and protocols.
- Diploma in Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution with relevant subjects.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in pathology services delivery within a relevant discipline including use of Laboratory Information Systems, Patient Systems and Quality Systems.
- Ability to work responsibly and efficiently managing competing priorities to meet deadlines.
- Able to work in a team environment while working autonomously to deliver results within specified timeframes.
- Deliver quality results that contribute to patient care and safety.
- Develop skills and knowledge in laboratory technology and pathology services.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
