About the Role

ACC Hobart is seeking a part-time Music Teacher to work in the primary school.

This role involves teaching music curriculum and contributing to an inclusive learning environment that fosters cross-cultural understanding and student development.

  • Contribute to the Christian formation of students;
  • Develop an approach to education that is biblically grounded, Christ focused, culturally engaging, and academically rigorous;
  • Teach music curriculum within a conducive learning environment to develop students' interests, skills, and abilities;
  • Contribute to the school community by participating in staff meetings, extra-curricular tasks, and liaising with parents where appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Action to actively contribute to the Christian formation of students.
  • Lead the way in developing an approach to education that is biblically grounded, Christ focused, culturally engaging, and academically rigorous.
  • Create a conducive learning environment that promotes student's interests, skills, and abilities.
  • Participate in staff meetings and extra-curricular tasks to enhance the school community.

Requirements

  • A relevant bachelor degree and any other relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Relevant experience teaching music.
  • Possess a passion for impacting students' minds and hearts, and providing a safe, supportive learning environment.
  • Be highly relational and committed to a holistic view of teaching and student welfare.
  • Keen to collaborate with colleagues in developing and implementing teaching and learning programs.
  • Holding a servant heart and vibrant Christian faith.
