The role requires an inspiring and visionary music educator to lead comprehensive music education from Early Learning to Year 12, encompassing leadership in curriculum and ensembles, as well as thriving private tuition.

A key focus is on providing strategic leadership in music education aligned with Quaker values and strategic plans. The successful candidate will oversee coordination and delivery of co-curricular music, ensembles, and tuition across all year levels, inspiring staff and students through innovative curriculum design and high-quality performance opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in music and education, registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Tasmania (or eligibility to obtain), and current Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment category). A proven ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and drive innovation in music education is essential.

  • Provide visionary leadership in music education aligning with School values and strategic goals
  • Coordinate and deliver co-curricular music, ensembles, and tuition across all year levels
  • Inspire innovation and excellence in music education through curriculum design and performance opportunities
  • Mentor music staff, ensemble leaders, and tutors for growth and collaboration
  • Oversee scheduling, resources, facilities, and instrument maintenance for music spaces
  • Foster connections with parents, external providers, and music education networks
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in music and education
  • Registration with the Teachers Registration Board of Tasmania (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment category)
