Music Education Leader

We are seeking a visionary and inspiring music educator to lead our comprehensive music program. As Music Education Leader, you will play a central role in shaping the future of music at Friends', embedding a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively across the School, leading a dynamic team of staff and tutors, coordinating co-curricular and ensemble activities, and ensuring a cohesive and engaging music education experience for all students.

  • Leadership: Provide strategic direction in music education aligned with the School's values and strategic plan.
  • Program Management: Oversee the coordination and delivery of co-curricular music, ensembles, and tuition across all year levels.
  • Curriculum Design: Inspire staff and students through innovative curriculum design and high-quality performance opportunities.
  • Staff Development: Manage and mentor music staff, ensemble leaders, and tutors to support growth and collaboration.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate concerts, excursions, and performances, including after-hours events.
  • Student Engagement: Champion student participation in music through engaging and inclusive programs across contemporary and traditional styles.
  • Operations: Oversee scheduling, resources, facilities, and instrument maintenance across music spaces.
  • Networking: Foster strong connections with parents, external providers, and music education networks.
