Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Rehabilitation Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our occupational rehabilitation team, you will work closely with clients, employers, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Manage client caseloads, working closely with Rehabilitation Assistants to ensure efficient administrative tasks.
  • Return to Work Outcomes: Apply clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes, working collaboratively with clients, employers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Injury Prevention and Education: Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs, working with employers and employees to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical, and allied health professionals to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Assessments and Evaluations: Conduct a variety of assessments, including Functional Capacity Evaluations, Worksite Assessments, Ergonomic Assessments, and Activities of Daily Living Assessments, using clinical and discipline-specific allied health skills.

Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, or Social Work.
  • Registration and Membership: Full or Provisional Registration with AHPRA, Full ASORC membership, or Full Registration with AASW (or eligibility to apply).
  • Communication and Time Management: Strong communication skills to build and develop relationships, and excellent time management skills to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Problem-Solving and Innovation: A desire to problem-solve, with the confidence to be innovative, use initiative, and achieve results.
  • Passion for Injury Prevention: A passion for injury prevention, return to work, and associated health benefits.
  • Driver's License and Vehicle: A current driver's license and access to a vehicle.
