About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our team at Castlegate James Australasia. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving the financial strategy and direction of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial guidance and leadership to the organization, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.
  2. Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, forecasts, and budgets, and provide regular financial reporting and analysis to the Group CEO and Board.
  3. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes and systems.
  4. Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and maintain effective internal controls and governance processes.
  5. Team Leadership: Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
Requirements
  1. Senior Accounting Experience: At least 5 years of senior accounting experience, incorporating analysis and problem-solving principles within a medium to larger organization.
  2. Financial and Management Accounting: Demonstrated experience and understanding of financial and management accounting reporting.
  3. Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated successful experience in a similar role leading a finance team, including the implementation and maintenance of procedures and processes.
  4. Commercial Acumen: Exceptional commercial acumen and strategic mindset, with experience in a multi-site operations, manufacturing operations, preferably in the agriculture or food sector.
  5. Technical Skills: Experience in using accounting systems, with proven report writing and analysis skills, and advanced Excel skills.
  6. ERP System Management: Experience in ERP system management, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, or similar.
