The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Ecologist or Senior (terrestrial) to join our Paramatta Office, with flexibility to work from anywhere in NSW. As a key member of our team, you will partner with local and federal government, regulatory authorities, and private organizations to deliver high-quality expert advice and manage stakeholders.

In this role, you will enjoy a variety of work, including:

  • Supervising others and utilizing your established contacts and networks for business development.
  • Delivering high-quality expert advice and managing stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Mixture of field and office-based projects.
  • Managing your own projects with support from other teams as needed.
  • Leading ecological field investigations, report preparation, and biodiversity assessments across NSW.
  • Undertaking broader environmental investigations and impact statements.

About You

We are looking for an established or emerging leader with:

  • Degree-qualified ecologist with significant post-graduate experience (6+ years), preferably within a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated botanical identification skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of relevant NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation.
  • Sound experience within Sydney Basin ecology and undertaking ecological survey in the vegetation communities of NSW.
  • BAM Accreditation and/or bushfire planning accreditation would be highly regarded, but not essential.
  • Driver's license and reliable car.
