About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at UniLodge. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties, including maintenance, repairs, and upkeep.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate maintenance activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the work of contractors and external partners to ensure high-quality results and compliance with safety standards.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of our assets.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address maintenance needs, and provide expert advice on facilities management best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including OH&S principles and chemical handling.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in general property and grounds maintenance and repairs, including electrical, plumbing installations, and building maintenance.
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role within a maintenance department, with a proven track record of success.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, owners, tenants, and contractors.
  • National Police Check (completed within the last 3 months), at your own cost.
  • Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Engineer, Electrician, or Plumber (highly desirable).
