Environmental Liabilities Expert

Your key responsibility will be to provide technical advice on closure strategies and cost estimating across various industries.

The role involves assessing the reasonableness of closure plans and cost estimates for financial assurance teams, communicating findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, and contributing to strategy and solutions for clients navigating complex regulatory environments.

As an Environmental Liabilities Expert, you will support clients in managing asset closure strategies and costs, identify trends, developments, and performance drivers relevant to clients, and develop and maintain strong relationships with business decision-makers internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the reasonableness of closure plans and cost estimates.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to strategy and solutions for clients.
  • Support clients in managing asset closure strategies and costs.
  • Identify trends, developments, and performance drivers relevant to clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience in cost estimating and modelling for large resource assets.
  • Knowledge of common asset closure techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Tertiary degree in a related field, preferably Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or Finance.
  • Strong project and time management skills, written and oral communication skills.
