Closure and Environmental Liabilities Professional

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert advice on closure strategies, cost estimation, and implementation across the mining, oil, and gas sectors. This includes supporting clients in managing their asset closure costs and working closely with financial assurance teams to assess the reasonableness of closure plans and estimates.

Our role is to develop solutions that help clients navigate complex regulatory environments and manage stakeholder expectations associated with asset closures. You will contribute to strategy development, methodologies, and analytical frameworks to support client success. Additionally, you will work closely with ESG due diligence and sustainability assurance teams, focusing on environmental management related challenges across various industries.

The ideal candidate will have experience in cost estimating, modeling, and understanding common closure techniques, materials, and equipment. A strong understanding of risks associated with asset closure is also essential. Furthermore, you will possess excellent project management skills, written and oral communication abilities, and a tertiary degree in a related field such as engineering, environmental sciences, or finance.

Key responsibilities include:
