Job Opportunity

Sydney Water seeks a strategic leader to execute commercial projects and initiatives.

This role will enable the business to manage increasing complexities and risks brought by the Long-Term Capital and Operational Plan.

  • Lead commercial strategy in response to growing demand from data centres.
  • Develop innovative commercial structures and pricing in light of the regulatory environment that support sector growth whilst ensuring existing customers are protected.
  • Position the company as the strategic water infrastructure partner for the multi-billion data centre pipeline, safeguarding water security and service standards.
  • Work closely with Growth, Strategy, Planning and Regulatory teams to design pricing models and service differentiation strategies that reflect the true cost of servicing high-demand customers.
  • Represent the company in shaping policy on data centre strategy, cost recovery mechanisms, and infrastructure planning.
  • Lead high-level negotiations with major data centre developers.
  • Represent the company's interests in strategic discussions with Infrastructure NSW and planning bodies.

About You

  • You are a strategic leader with strong commercial and structuring skills and a passion for infrastructure innovation.
  • Extensive experience in commercial leadership, ideally within utilities or high-demand sectors.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills at senior levels.
  • A proven ability to influence policy and deliver commercial outcomes in complex environments.
