Technologies Department Head

Brigidine College is seeking passionate and highly qualified educational leaders to join our Middle Leadership team.

This full-time, fixed term position will lead and inspire the Technologies department across Years 7–12, overseeing curriculum implementation, staff support, and innovative learning practices in a values-driven environment.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated leadership of teaching, learning and assessment, as well as commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.

Key responsibilities include leading the growth and development of all staff in the learning area, achieving educational goals, and managing organisational responsibilities.

Applicants are expected to support the Catholic ethos of the College and must have, or be eligible for, Queensland Teacher Registration.

Job Description

Lead and inspire the Technologies department to achieve academic excellence and promote a values-driven culture.

Oversee curriculum implementation, staff support, and innovative learning practices in a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure efficient use of College assets.

Develop and implement strategies to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Demonstrated leadership and management experience in education, preferably in a similar role.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a focus on achieving shared goals and objectives.

Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively, with a strong focus on financial sustainability.

Highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to think critically and make informed decisions.

Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a safe and supportive learning environment.
