Key Selection Criteria

  • Ability to balance dual roles of exemplary teacher and leadership responsibilities with approval to teach infants and/or primary combined.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, and build teacher capacity in implementing high-quality literacy and numeracy programs based on evidence-based research and data.
  • Well-developed emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills to strengthen student wellbeing and inclusive partnerships within the school community.
  • Proven expertise to promote innovation, collaboration, and high expectations within co-teaching environments.

General Requirements

  • Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice.
  • Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
  • Educational leadership skills to build capacity and manage performance of individuals and teams.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
