Job Overview

We are seeking a strategic academic leader to spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge IT courses.

This pivotal role requires a unique blend of academic leadership and IT expertise with a strong focus on curriculum development that aligns with our mission.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering industry relevant teaching and learning strategies, managing the design and development of learning resources and facilities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Course Development and Accreditation

- Develop and implement effective course accreditation processes
- Conduct benchmarking to ensure quality and currency of courses and assessments
- Manage the design and development of learning resources and facilities for courses to ensure adequacy and appropriateness
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and standards across all aspects of courses
- Participate in Course Advisory Committees in relation to the development of IT courses

Industry Engagement

- Engage with industry and professional bodies to maintain currency and relevance of courses and pedagogy
- Establish and maintain partnerships with academic and industry communities

Education, Experience and Skills

- PhD in a directly related discipline or field
- Broad knowledge of the IT discipline
- Knowledge of contemporary developments in the discipline, informed by continuing scholarship and/or practice
- Experience in leading and managing high performance teams
- Demonstrated understanding of requirements associated with regulatory frameworks, especially the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards)
