About the Role

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate care workers to support elderly individuals in their homes on the Gold Coast.

As a care worker, you will be working independently with clients, promoting their well-being and autonomy. Your reliability is crucial for maintaining regular shifts and providing coverage during planned and unexpected absences.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Providing domestic support including cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, dishwashing, laundry, and ironing
  • Assisting with meal preparation and basic cooking, ensuring food hygiene standards
  • Offering companionship and emotional support during regular visits
  • Providing transport and support during outings, shopping, or appointments
  • Supporting pet care tasks if required (e.g., feeding, short walks)
  • Observing and reporting changes in the client's condition to the Service Coordinator
  • Completing documentation and visit records accurately using a mobile device
  • FOLLOWING individualised care plans and the Positive Wellbeing Model of Care

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A current driver's license and a reliable, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for work purposes
  • The ability to use a smartphone and basic apps
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written)
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
  • A minimum of 12 months' experience in a direct care role
