At WaterNSW, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Quality Management System Framework Lead
This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Water Quality Management Systems (WQMS) frameworks at our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our WQMS meets business requirements and complies with Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG) or any requirements specified by NSW Health.
About the Role- Develop and implement WQMS frameworks to meet business needs and regulatory requirements
- Provide technical advice and support across WaterNSW to deliver water quality management policies, strategies, plans, and standards
- Manage assurance activities, such as system audits and health checks, to ensure continued compliance with Water Quality Policy and Operating Licence(s)
- Engage with stakeholders, customers, and regulators to develop relevant WQMS supporting documentation and manage its implementation
- Ongoing review of systems and frameworks to drive optimisation of WQMS and associated reporting
The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in engineering, science, or a related discipline, with significant experience working in the development of supporting and/or implementation of documentation related to drinking water quality management. In-depth knowledge of ADWG and other NSW regulatory requirements is essential, as well as exposure and understanding of drinking Quality Management Systems and the requirements of the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.
A sound understanding of the water industry sector, work practices, and systems relevant to drinking water supply is also required. Strong administrative and self-management skills, including the ability to work to deadlines and resolve challenges quickly and professionally, with extensive stakeholder engagement experience is necessary.
Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of $144,550 - $173,475 base + super, plus a range of benefits including flexible working, 9-day fortnight at full pay on the Enterprise Agreement, up to 16 weeks paid parental leave, fertility leave, yearly corporate wear allowance, professional development and educational assistance, and much more.
