Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Water Quality Management System (WQMS) Frameworks to meet business requirements and comply with Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG) or any requirements specified by NSW Health.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement WQMS frameworks to ensure compliance with ADWG and NSW Health requirements
  2. Provide technical advice and support across WaterNSW to deliver water quality management policies, strategies, plans and standards
  3. Manage assurance activities such as system audits and system health checks to ensure continued compliance with Water Quality Policy and Operating Licence(s)
  4. Engage with stakeholders, customers and regulators to develop relevant WQMS supporting documentation and manage its implementation
  5. Review and optimize WQMS systems and frameworks to drive automation, accuracy and adequacy of indicators
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, science or a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • In-depth knowledge of ADWG and NSW regulatory requirements for the management of potable water supplies
  • Significant exposure and understanding of drinking water quality management systems and ADWG requirements
  • Sound understanding of the water industry sector, work practices and systems relevant to drinking water supply
  • Strong administrative and self-management skills, including stakeholder engagement experience
