About the RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled professional to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our Water Quality Management System (WQMS) frameworks. As a Senior Water Quality Systems Professional, you will provide specialist technical advice and support across WaterNSW to deliver water quality management policies, strategies, plans, and standards.
You will be responsible for managing the delivery of assurance activities, such as system audits and health checks, to ensure continued compliance with our Water Quality Policy and Operating Licence(s). Your extensive engagement with stakeholders, customers, and regulators will be crucial in developing relevant WQMS supporting documentation and driving its implementation.
In this role, you will also undertake ongoing reviews of systems and frameworks to drive optimisation of WQMS and associated reporting, such as automation, accuracy, and adequacy of indicators.
About YouTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- A tertiary qualification in engineering, science, or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG) and other NSW regulatory requirements for the management of potable water supplies.
- Significant exposure and understanding of drinking quality management systems and the requirements of ADWG.
- Sound understanding of the water industry sector, work practices, and systems relevant to drinking water supply.
- Strong administrative and self-management skills, including the ability to work to deadlines and resolve challenges quickly and professionally.
