A diverse construction company is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead a range of commercial projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of multiple construction projects, worth between $5m to $50m+. This role requires an individual with strong on-site experience and a proven track record of successfully completing building projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and safety outcomes.
  • Coordinate trades onsite and work with the site manager to ensure projects are completed on time and to our high standards.
  • Co-ordinate relationships between various trades and ensure that sub-contractors carry out work safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a positive reputation at all times.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and to our high standards.
  • Participate in regular WHS inspections and injury/incident investigations, and maintain a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Ensure environmental controls are suitable and implemented, monitored, and reviewed.
  • Review, understand, and have input to all subcontractor and supplier scope of works.
  • Organise completion of defect works in a timely manner.
  • Participate in lesson learnt sessions to continuously improve the performance of the overall team.
About You - Skills and Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role in class 2 – 9 construction as defined under the Building Codes of Australia (BCA).
  • Relevant trade background and competencies.
  • Open Builders Supervision license issued by QBCC.
  • Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
  • Willingness to lead and motivate team members.
  • A person who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and quality-driven.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Commitment and understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines.
  • Good computer/mobile device skills for daily use of programs & apps.
