Logistics Coordinator Role Overview

The Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in our organization, responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences for clients and stakeholders.

This position involves transport scheduling functions that are rostered based on operational requirements and management decisions.

  • Adherence to established work instructions is essential when performing tasks.
  • Scheduling of road services, including data entry of EPO for LDC sites serviced by road.
  • Scheduling of rail services, including data entry of EPO for LDC sites serviced by rail.
  • Shipments are planned based on availability and customer requests; checking and chasing empty releases with clients/shipping lines as needed.
  • Packing schedule data accuracy is crucial; including vessel details, checking pick lists, following up with customers for import permits, weed seed certs & RFPs, processing bales picked and updating okay to pack, sending final packing documents including fume certs, submitting PRAs and ensuring AO's complete inspections in a timely manner and process invoices to clients once received into wharf.
  • Maintaining visibility into all LDC email inboxes for warehousing and packing services; ensuring clients have access to their critical business information.
  • Timely turnaround of customer data information flow from packing sites is essential.
  • External warehouses: ensuring the LDC Warehousing Management System is updated with packing information supplied.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment. They will be a team player with a diplomatic yet assertive approach, capable of building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external parties.

A Certificate III or higher in logistics is preferred. Experience in warehouse operations, supply chain & rail/road logistics, cotton industry (preferred), and department of agriculture experience (preferred) is also highly regarded.
