Occupational Therapy Opportunities

Casual occupational therapists are needed to provide rehabilitation services in a supportive environment. We are seeking experienced professionals who can work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.


The hospital offers comprehensive rehabilitation programs, including orthopaedic, neurological, and mental health services. Successful applicants will be able to assess and treat patients to facilitate independence in daily living activities and improve quality of life.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement discharge plans, including home visits and provision of assistive devices and modifications.
  • Refer patients to groups or other disciplines within the hospital as required.
  • Attend case conferences and family meetings to provide information and support.
  • Communicate with program coordinators regarding patient care and therapy time tabling.
  • Document OT interventions, assistive device prescriptions, and completion of case management plans and discharge summaries.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Occupational Therapy or equivalent, with eligibility to join the Australian Association of Occupational Therapists (AAOT).
  • Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Neurological rehabilitation experience preferred.
  • Sound clinical judgment and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Superior time management and organisational skills.
