About the role
We are seeking experienced Senior Signalling Electrical Installation Specialists to join our Rail Operations- Signalling team in NSW.
You will be part of a rapidly growing team undertaking large-scale works across Sydney and surrounding areas, including the Digital Systems project, Sydney Trains MSA projects, TAP Station Upgrade project, More Trains More Services MTMS Stage 3 project, and specialized regional track support and installation works.
As a Senior Signalling Electrical Installation Specialist, you will work across all our Sydney sites, implementing signalling works for activities being undertaken in the rail corridor. There may be opportunities to travel to regional areas as required.
To be successful, you will ideally meet the following requirements:
- C Class Drivers Licence
- Construction industry white card
- Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW), with licensed Sydney Trains Signal Electrical Installer (SEI)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Certificate of Competency on both Sydney Trains and ARTC networks as a signal electrical installer
- Full ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including Rail CAT Specific medical & drug and alcohol screening
- Availability to cover weekends based on project requirements
We are looking for individuals who:
- Are committed to ensuring all signalling safeworking rules are implemented in the field
- Are excellent communicators and able to work confidently with high-performance rail teams
- Can adapt to change in a working environment
- Follow Laing O'Rourke Next Gear Safety Principles
- Undertake additional training as required
- Have solid experience working effectively in a team-based environment
- Experience adapting to change in a working environment
- Willingness to mentor and train new team members joining the project team
- Ability to compile signalling packages for specific project works
- Cable installation and termination works
- Wiring of signalling racks and trackside equipment
- Installation of trackside equipment
- Assist with testing of signalling infrastructure
