Community Services Worker Job Description

At Orana Living, we are seeking a dedicated Community Services Worker to provide support to individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily activities and fostering independent living skills and goals.

This role requires empathy, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. As a Community Services Worker, you will contribute to the management of a supported residential unit and life skills centre, ensuring alignment with our mission and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities, focusing on daily activities and personal development.
  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations of a supported residential unit and life skills centre.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Current First Aid Certificate and valid Driver's Licence Class C or current Class C Provisional Licence.
  • Empathy for working with people with disabilities and commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Certificate III in Community Services (Disabilities, Aged Care or Home Care) or willingness to obtain within 24 months of appointment.
