Procurement Officer

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid knowledge of procurement and stores management, with proven cost control, record keeping, and computer skills.

  • This is a full-time position with 38 hours per week
  • Rostered day off every fortnight (22 extra days off per year)
  • Weekly pay cycle

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of Council's Stores function, driving a consistent approach to sourcing, purchasing, and tendering activities.

To ensure value for money and maximize cost savings, the candidate must support Council's policy commitments, including local procurement.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Solid knowledge of procurement and stores management
  • Proven cost control, record keeping, and computer skills
  • WorkCover WH&S Construction Induction (White Card)
  • Minimum 3 years relevant work experience
  • Class C Driver Licence
  • Demonstrated effective communication and customer service skills
  • Proven numeracy skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of WH&S

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure efficient and effective operation of Council's Stores function
